I have been an artist since I was 3-years-old, hiding behind my grandparents' couch, drawing my crayon masterpieces along the wall and floorboard in their living room. Since then, I obtained my Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Visual Communications (all forms of art) and my Master's Degree in Elementary Education.

I have always been a fan of Monet, Peter Paul Reubens, and Norman Rockwell paintings, in addition to Degga, Surrat and Van Gogh. However, Walt Disney cartoons, Charles Schulz's Peanuts comic strips, and Bill Watterson's Calvin & Hobbes comic strips have had the most impact on my creative and artistic style. Growing up, I was also heavily influenced by Hanna Barbara animated cartoons and "SchoolHouse Rock".
While I would love to say I have one particular or unique style of art, the truth is that the inspirations that have influenced me have caused me to develop a variety of techniques and styles evident in my work. I have been the Lead Artist/Cartoonist for a CD-Rom company, the Associate Art Director for a home-school curriculum company, a Graphic Design Specialist for a candle company, and a Mural Painting Artist. I have enjoyed a rich array of artistic venues and experience. In addition, I have over 11-years of teaching experience in public and charter elementary schools.
